Logic Pro X Progressive Trance Template - EDM Sessions EP107 

In episode 107 we remix a progressive trance song, the song we will use is Mikas’s - Electrons released in 2012 on Mikas Label Progressive Grooves Records. We will keep the original project BPM is 138, we will keep it for the remix.

First we remove the MIDI from all channels and we are free to start from scratch making a new song. First up, the bass, we browse Sylenth1 presets and settle on a chunky bass with a simple but effective pattern. We then edit the MIDI in the logic sequencer to perfect our groove.

Next up we record a pluck sequence with that progress in the opposite way to the bass so it has a greater impact. We then add a layer of lead at the top of the frequency range. To make it less static we add some automation to filter in and out as the song progresses

We then add a layer that will respond to the bass sequence the synth is chunky, big and full of energy.

We then start building the song arrangements.
