Logic Pro X Techno Tribal Template

For episode 102 we are creating a tribal techno song from scratch in Logic Pro X using only the internal instruments and plugins. The final result will be available as a Logic Pro X Template on our site www.wemakedancemusic .com for only 5$. We setup the BPM to 125 and get started.

We begin by programming some percussion in the tribal style, we do so by recording some MIDI parts in Logic Pro X using the drum machine designer. We make sure all elements are separated into different channels so they will be easy to mix later on in the song. We do not recommend using loops as they will be impossible to undo or mix later on.

After recording the drums we move on to the bassline, we settle on a 808 style deep sub bass in a very simple pattern, this will sit to perfection underneath the percussion. Then we add some brass hits that are very reminiscent of the old school techno sound.

Moving on we compose simple chord pads that top it off to perfection. To complete this session we do a complete remix session and settle all of the elements we created from scratch.
